Dear readers,

it was a little bit quiet around me, but honestly it wasn't because of the Christmas Season. Niclas and I couldn't really enjoy Christmas this year as we're having a lot to study. Although we celebrated Christmas very special this year as we were at my godfathers home in Eindhoven, Netherlands. As my sister spending Christmas in bars instead of having heading out of presents on Christmas Eve, we had to open our gifts at home.

I didn't wish for anything special this year. But I was glad about the presents I received. I got a lot of expensive fragrances, so I can extend my fragrance collection. I nearly change my favourite scent every year. But they are nearly the same. It has to scent flowery and sweet with a small note of fresh. And there are a few I really like.



One of my first scent was "La vie est belle" by Lancôme. More flowery than sweet. The scent of jasmine makes the scent very feminine. "Coco Mademoiselle" by Chanel is the fragrance for strong women. The scent is very oriental and powerful. It's more for women over 30 as it smells very mature. I don't use it very often, because it's matching better to my mum than to me.




"Daisy Dream" by Marc Jacobs smells very fruity and fresh. Especially for office and for college I like to use it as the scent is not too heavy. "Omnia Crystalline" by Bulgari was one of my favourite scent about a couple of years ago. It is also fruity and fresh, but I like mostly the note of fresh lotus in it. The fragrance "Black Opium" by Yves Saint Laurent is more for my sister than for me, as it is really sweet. More girly than feminine.



And my absolute favourite at the moment is "Sì" by Giorgio Armani! Very feminine and sexy. It has a flowery note of jasmine, the sweetness of vanilla and the fruity note of currants. I has the perfect combination I really like and it is not too heavy.

I hope you all had wonderful Christmas. Tomorrow Niclas and I will celebrate our 5th anniversary and I'm already planning the perfect makeup, the outfit and anything else. I am so excited.

I received a package of Garnier lately to test their product. They send me the heat protection spray of the #wahreschätze series. I was skeptical about heat protection although my hair really needs heat protection. I straighten my hair nearly daily and that's why the ends of my hair is full of spliss.
The design of the bottle is very clear and simple. It's a spray bottle what is definitely a bonus. I tried out gel heat protection before, but it was sticky. As spray you could dispense the liquid easily on your hair. But actually I have very long and thick hair. I needed a lot of spray to cover up the heat protection on my hair.



I'm absolutely relieved about the contents. The heat protection spray contains oat milk and rice cream. Very healthy for your hair and even for your scalp. They're giving you the perfect care and nutrition your hair needs.



The best part is, it smells wonderful like coco blossoms in summer and the scent last for maximum 3 days. But I am a little bit disappointed by the end result. After testing it a few months now, my spliss is still there and it feels like my hair is getting drier. Maybe it is better to use it sometimes. I use it nearly after every hair wash before straighten my hair and now I have to change it immediately or having a new haircut.

the first semester nearly comes to an end and Christmas is coming closer and closer. As we don't having exams, we have to present semester projects. A lot of them. To be Exact, in every class I attend, so I needed inspiration immediately. Luckily, I hear about an exciting exhibition in the mueseum arts in Wolfsburg one of my friend visited and I had to check it out what it's about.

The topic is Never Ending Stories and it contains the keyword "loop". I booked two tickets for me and my sister. We chose the eat and art program, where we get a private guide in a small group and a three-course meal at the end of the program. I know about one exhibition piece, which I really had to see. The famous Infinity Mirrored Room by Yayoi Kusama. No words needed!



Every artist interpreted the keyword loop different for himself. The infinity room shall show the visitor about the the word loop in infinity. I also had the pleasure to see works from two of my favourites artists Andy Warhol and Salvador Dalí, but I learned about a new artist and I was pretty amazed about his interpretation of "loops". The exhibiton piece of Gregor Schneider is beside the piece of Yayoi Kusama one of the best work of the exhibition. He plays with the mind of the people, but it was really difficult to show the piece in a picture.




The works are all categorized in subtopics like architecture, music and more. It was really impressing and I wish more exhibition like this. The three-course meal wasn't really good, so I won't tell more about it.




The exhibition was so helpful and exciting and I could get a lot of new ideas for my semester projects, so stay tuned to get to see my own works.

a few weeks left until Christmas and this year my family and I will celebrate Christmas different than we did before. Instead of celebrating Christmas with our vietnamese community, my parents decided to celebrate it in Eindhoven, Netherlands, where my beloved godfather live. I was sad first as I know I won't celebrate Christmas with my vietnamese girls and Niclas. But I am so excited to get out of Germany for a couple of days especially when I know Niclas and I won't have a great New Year's Eve as he will have exams right after the holidays.

Back to topic, I love Christmas because of finding the perfect present for my beloved ones. I will post about my absolute favourite gifts later, but first. I got the chance to test the palettes by Makeup Revolution.



I like dark and statement looks. But I tried to try out the romantic soft look. I only use these two palettes by Makeup Revolution. It is a drug store product I never heard of. Therefore, I was really surprised about the quality.



The first product I received is the Ultra Rouge Golden Sugar Palette and I absolutely love it. The darker colours I used as contouring and bronzer. The rosé golden shimmer colours are perfectly as highlighter. I still can't believe the effect of the highlighter is almost good as my favourite highlighter by MAC Cosmetics. I don't even need to apply much to get the effect immediately.



The other palette is the Ultra 32 Eyeshadow Flawless Matte palette using for my eyelids, my brows and yes. My lips. The palette is not as exciting as the Ultra Rouge Golden Sugar Palette, but I'm still satisfied with the result. I mixed some colours to get the final colour and these colours looks perfect on my lips too. Of course I know. Never use eyeshadow palette as lip colours. It was an experiment and I ahve to admit it tastes awful. The baddest mistake was using the palette as brow colour. Even if the palette is really pigmented and the colours are amazing, it's not qualified as brow colour.

At least I have to be honest. I use my Smashbox Mascara for the end result, but really no foundation or powder at all! I for myself am really satisfied with the result and as I saw the low price for these products, I just can recommend it.
But I think I will never do a product review like this any more. It was so hard not to cheat using other products. The next review will be like always, mixed with other products and easy for me to create the look.

I think one thing I always waste a lot of money is definitely Mascara. I tested a lot of brands, brushes, textures and design of different Mascaras. The more I was happy about being a product tester for the False Lash Epic Mascara by Max Factor.

Firstly, I thought about fibre lashes, as the name of this mascara is "false lash", but I was surprised by the brush of this product. The false lash effect should be made with this special brush and I was a little bit confused how it works.



The texture is simple and it smells like every other mascaras. It's not too sticky, not lumpy, and it is cleraly black. The design is also not different than others, but as I mentioned, the brush is special. The wide brush has a smaller round brush on top, which is responsible for the false lash effect. I had difficulties with handling the brush, because of the unusual form.



In conclusion, I didn't make pictures for results, because I am definitely disappointed. I smeared the mascara all over my eyes, trying to apply the mascara with the special brush. Even with instructions on the backside of the package, I coudn't figure out how it works. Maybe I am to stupid to use this mascara, but I couldn't see any effect on myself. And maybe I could figure out how it works one day.

I don't know how I often already wrote about it. But I can repeat myself all over again that I'm hating winter that much. Of course, I love Christmas and the winter holidays, but every outside activity even going to college or to work is so exhausting.

So, I want to talk about one of my favourite themes T R A V E L . It's like telling old stories and in this little story, Niclas and I travelled to La Pineda y Barcelona.



And it was wonderful. The sun, the beach, the country and its culture. Firstly, we were in La Pineda. A wonderful place to stay. Sandy beach, friendly people and culinary delicacy. Even in the night La Pineda was an interesting place. Beside the beachwalk in sunset, we can admire the artist on the street with inventive paintings.

Trips and sightseeing mustn't miss on vacations, so I booked a trip on a catamaran and I bought cards for the theme park Port Aventura.

We were a little bit disappointed of the catamaran, because we expected too much. We had one of the best catamaran trips in Turunc and it's definitely not comparable. But the best part of La Pineda was definitely the theme park Port Aventura. We bought the express ticket, so we didn't need to stand in line and we could try out the main attractions.




One of the last trips was in Barcelona. As La Pineda is near Barcelona, we had to visit Barcelona as well. But no sight seeing trip as we already were in Barcelona before. But it was a little too hectic for me. I couldn't even enjoy shopping, because of lack of time I couldn't visit every shop I listed.



Spain is always a good destination for european, who doesn't really know where to travel to. It is payable even for students and you mostly have sunshine and beach.

in my post "Why always black?" I described my love to black clothes. In this post, I wanted to show my absolute favourite combo of black and gold. This outfit I wore at our Christmas Party and on stage.



I had a lot of problems with my weight last year, so I chose a piece, which covers my problem zones. The jumpsuit is made of satin like material, with a deep neckline and crossed back straps. It was very long (and I have to admit, it was at least too big for me though), so I had to combine it with really high high heels. The peeptoe high heels by Sergio Todzi are pretty extravagant with snake patterns and golden metal details, but as the jumpsuit is really simple, I had to pimp the outfit with outstanding accessories.




That's why I decided to took my favourite clutch bag by & other stories, which also has the snake patterns. The golden chains of the clutch bag matches perfectly to my other accessories. To keep the outfit simple but chic, I chose golden jewelry like the statement bracelet and the simple ring set. For a wow effect I could wear a statement necklace, but it would be too much, so I took the big velvet choker.



My highlights are still these pair of shoes. Shoes have to be comfortable for me or I won't survive the evening. Therefore, I always buy plateau heels, but actually not as peeptoes, but the peeptoes with the cutouts of this pair of heels made my outfit perfect. And they are perfect for New Year's Eve or weddings.

seems like this year was full of stress and ends with full of stress for Niclas and me. We finished our apprenticeship at the same time and begin to go to college at the same damn time. And if starting studying at college isn't enough for me, I can't give up my job, so I have a deal with my employer for a new contract. Seems like full time job and full time study for me right now.

I'm pretty exhausted. Beside my career, I have to satisfied the other sections of my life like my family, my social life and my hobbies. 24 hours aren't definitely not enough, so I had to quit sports.

But quitting sports is way too much for my body as I'm eating non-stop. And with my eating behaviour, no sports at all and full of stress, my skin feels very unhealthy at the moment. The more I am happy about receiving a skincare product by L'Oréal Paris.



It is the skincare toner of the fine flowers collection. The scent of this product is just wonderful. It smells like rose water and jasmine flowers and the colour is really girly like the scent.

I tested it for a week now. Every night before going to bed and after removing makeup, I washed my face with the fine flowers toner. It seems like it removed the rest of the missing makeup and it makes my skin smooth and soft.

Even if it smells good and the feeling of my skin is wonderful, I still had some stress spots. I think as a routine skin care, my face will be soft and smooth for a long while, but not as a cleansing against impurities. But honestly, I wouldn't buy it. It can't be defined as a cleansing product neither than a makeup remover. There are way better products for skin care, but I definitely adore the scent and the size of this product!

every morning I woke up, it is dark and cold. I hate waking up for work or for college in cold days. I won't get out of bed easily although it's already tough for me to wake up early. The only advantage of this season are the oversized sweaters. I like those sweaters in different styles and sizes, but mostly in soft colours. And I like the small details of all the sweaters. And I wanted to point out some specific details.




My first choice is very simple. But with my form of face it's difficult to wear turtleneck sweaters. Luckily, I found one by Pieces, where the turtleneck is very small and the material feels like cashmere. The salmon sweater has shoulder cutouts. A trend of this season and it's like, why am I wearing sweater with cutouts, when I want to wear warm clothes. Good question. So I just wear cutouts sweater for outside night outs.




The grey sweater is tied up at the back. I love this sweater, because it is oversized. Mainly for everyone, who likes to wear leggings, this sweater covers perfectly everyhing, which has to be covered (if you know what I mean) and it looks casual chic.

Last but not the least, the glamourous one. A ripped one shoulder bodycon sweater. This one was perfectly for Dinner with Niclas in cold days or even combined with leather leggings on New Years Eve. What are your favourite details of sweater? Do you know more interesting details?

better watch out for the cold season. It's coming. And since it's getting grey and dark outside, we're happy to find colours in our surroundings. Even I am glad to see a little bit of colours. But not only colours are trendy this season. Everyone is getting crazy about dark roses and pastell flower patterns.

I definitely won't buy any sweaters or scarves with those pattern. I'm just not the type for those patterns, but even more I was happy to see the new fall collection of ideal of sweden.




How beautiful are these two cases? I still can wear my black, white and grey clothes and I'm still looking fabulous adding these two cases as my accessories.

The antique roses case is definitely my favourite, although I'm not really into roses. Combining this case to my grungy boots and black ripped jeans make me looking perfect for a night out. Especially when the colour of the roses were matching to my lipstick colour.

And although the floral romance case is really girly like, it can match to the mentioned outfit combo as well. The colours of the floral pattern is soft and beautiful.



I just can admire the quality of ideal of sweden. The cases are so stable. My phone fell a few days ago and I'm proudly can say nothing happened, not even a scratch. And even the case survived with little scratches, which aren't visible. I wouldn't know there were scratches, if I'm not touching the surface of the smooth case.

for a couple of years ago, Niclas and I went on a short trip to Noord-Holland. This trip was my present for him on our 2nd anniversary. And since autumn arrived in Germany I remembered the lovely weekend we spent there.




We arrived Akersloot in the late evening and went to dinner in a classic steakhouse. It was unbelievable delicious and the atmosphere was prickling.
On the next day I showed him Amsterdam with a city tour by foot. Amsterdam is a beautiful small city, but full of tourism. To end the trip perfectly, we went to a coffeeshop. I think, you already know, what we'd done there.




The last day, we visited the provincial town Alkmaar for the famous funny Grachtentour. The bridges are so flat we had to duck our head. Alkmaar is very famous for their cheese, but unluckily the cheese market already ends in september. It was wonderful though. We went through the small place and their alleys with a lot of shopping possibilities.

We left Alkmaar early enough to see the sunset in Egmond aan Zee. A small town at the beach of the Netherlands. It was very windy and cold, but in my boyfriends arms, I felt the warmth and a lot of love. And a hot chocolate in a beach bar gave me warmth.




Our last supper in Noord-Holland was wonderful. I invited Niclas to the fish restaurant near the bay in Egmond. The restaurant is really pretty furnished and I just felt comfortable.

We thought a lot about it to spend our winter holidays there as well. Since we decided to miss out the summer trip this year, I will post more about the trips we already made.

winter is coming and so do the dry winter skin. Skin care wasn't a big issue for me, as my skin is smooth and clean naturally, but I think it's always better to protect before something bad happen. I was so thankful to have the chance to try out the huge package from gofeminin with test samples for new product by bebe. Usually they're sending small samples, but this time beside the small samples, I received two original size tubes as well. The smaller samples I shared with some of my friends.



After a couple of months testing it I can surely write my opinion about this product. As the cleansing mask is in a tube, the application is very simple. It has the typical texture of cleansing mask with peeling particles. My first impression was honestly not very good. It is a one minute cleansing mask directly after the shower. So for me personally it's not really a mask at all. I am standing for cleansing peeling-off mask, because I think they're really working. Those one minute thing are often useless.

But honestly, I am really surprised and the cleansing mask by bebe becomes my routine after the shower now. As I mentioned before, the application is really easy. I apply the cleansing mask while I'm showering so I can wash it off directly. Sometimes I wait one minute sometimes I don't but it still has its effect. My skin is really smooth and soft right now. I never use face cream, because I'm one of the person who doesn't really needs cream. I already have really smooth skin, but sometimes for example in winter I need face cream for more moisture. But with the cleansing mask I don't even need a skin care base for my foundation. And in addition I shower at the evening, so I extend the function of the cleansing mask as makeup remover.

And at least I am delighted by the smell. It isn't too strong. It has the typical "bebe scent" with a note of citrus fruit. I can recommend to test it out, because as I mentioned. For me it's not really a mask, but it has its effect. I also share my test samples with friends and family and they all have different opinions on this cleansing mask. But more than a half thinks it makes the skin soft and smooth and that is the important part for us.

since summer won't arrive Germany, I was really happy about the package I received by Zaful. They send me two cute summer playsuits and they are incredibly lovely. Zaful celebrate its 3rd anniversary and there are so many cute pieces they're adding to their collections and the prices are invincible mainly with all the sales action.

Actually I planned to wear them on a photoshooting outdoor, but as we all know the weather right now in Germany, it was way too wet to get outside in a summer playsuit. I was so disappointed, but my sister said it will look great indoor as well and I have to write the review about it soon.



The first playsuit I want to present is in light blue. It has huge bell sleeves, it own belts and it's shoulder free. It looks so adorable mainly when I combine it with my beige sandals and my cute bag with cords. The negative aspect of this playsuit is the material. It is rough and needs to be ironed as you can see. But I really like the look though, so it wouldn't mind me too much to iron it, if I wear it, although I really hate ironing.




The second one is a floral chiffon beauty. Actually I'm not really a floral pattern fan and I'm more the black, grey & white type, but the color of this playsuit is so adorable and really matching to my taste. I love the cut and the material a lot. And there are so many options to combine this playsuit, but in the end you will always look adorable and girly. Mainly in the wedding season of the year. And for these events it is always important to feel comfortable in your outfit and as on wedding I love to eat, this outfit will still be on point.





As I mentioned before they're having sale right now because of their 3rd year anniversary and there are so many stuff to look at for example "rose dress". They are as cute as my playsuits.


But there are way more to browse through. Just convince yourself. I had to post this summer look in october. I'm still disappointed from summer in germany this year. I wasn't even able to wear all the dresses and skirts and shorts I bought in winter.

at the beginning of creating a blog, I had the idea to show my very own fashion style. I realized my fashion style is nothing impressive and really similar to the most of the blogger, so nothing extraordinary. Maybe also because of the fact, that extraordinary clothes is really expensive and you won't wear it everyday.

I started to change my topic very soon. I invest a lot of money in makeup, but with the knowledge, I will really use it more often than wearing extraordinary clothes. Since my decision was clear, I invest in quality makeup brushes. As an artist I know, how important it is to get quality tools.



I did some research in brushes and there were a lot of quality brushes, but I like the design of Zoeva the most, so I bought the rosé set including a brushes clutch. Zoeva brushes are actually really expensive, but the hair of the brushes are natural nothing synthetic.



The soft hair of the brushes feels so smooth on sensitive skin. But my absolute favourite of all the Zoeva brushes is definitely the eyeshadow brush. With its super soft hair the blending effect is made so easily and fast. I won't buy the whole collection, but I will definitely buy more of those eyeshadow brushes in different sizes.

if you are following me on Instagram, you might know, that I started studying Advertising Design. I decided to study beside working, because I wanted to keep my job as digital media designer and web developer. I have to commute a lot, but it will be three years I have to go through.

The first week is over now and I had a lot to plan and a lot to reorganize. I knew it before, I won't have time to breathe, but I am definitely happy with my decision. We saw a lot and my college offers us a lot of possibility to be creative. Workshops, laboratories, studios and a lot more. I can't believe I will study there for the next three years.

The first course was absolutely stunning, where we need to be creative and we had to show our skills. Not only the college is amazing, the people there amazed me too. They were all so talented I felt like a wallflower in first grade in elementary school.



I prepared my portfolio for my bachelor and I had to tidy out so many works, but there are some I had to show you. My work includes my personality. As I'm working on my blog I had to think about the word "ruby", so I actually created my own character. But since I change the logo of RubyliXious, I never used it.

I have to warn you, I will have less time for my blog, but I attempt to post regularly. Happy weekend!

the best trip so far is definitely the trip with my little sister to Abu Dhabi. We were excited for this trip months before it started. It wasn't even expensive at all, as we were travelling out of season time. We also booked our trips and planned everything at home. The first time we travel to UAE.



My sister and I stayed in the luxury Hilton hotel. The hotelroom was huge and the furnishings are exclusive and chic. We were never in the united emirates before, so we learned about their rules and tratidions first. But Abu Dhabi was different. The people were open minded and most of the time it was too hot for long clothes. But it was really okay to wear short stuff and I was still aware of not breaking rules like wearing shorts or short skirts in mosques.




After the first day which we used for discovering the city a little bit, we planned our first trip which took the whole day. The desert safari was a trip we had to do, so they pciked up early in the morning in a Lexus SUV. There were several more SUVs and it looks like a car caravan in the desert. I just can recommend this trip, because it felt like being in a rollercoaster as the car driving the dunes up and down.

After desert car trip they took us to a place where we could ride on camels, sandboarding and more. In the late evening there was a huge BBQ with all the participants of the desert safari. The food was better than I expected for the price and the late night show gave us the oriental feeling.




The next day we booked the trip to the famous two theme park on YAS island. There was several combi tickets and we decided to buy a premium combi ticket for both. We started in the Yas Waterworld and we never were in a water theme park before. It was strange first to ride the rollercoaster in bikinis. I felt a little bit naked, but it was totally fun and worth it.

In the late afternoon we changed the theme park. Next to the Yas waterworld there was the Ferrari World. If we had visited the Ferrari World one week later we could have catch up the Formula 1. But we still enjoyed the fastest rollercoaster in the world and the theme park itself. As a huge race and cars fan I loved it there and I had to get some souvenirs as well, even they were expensive as hell.



The rest of the week, we spent our time (and our money) in the great malls of Abu Dhabi. There are so many shops we don't have in Germany, so we had to exploit the opportunity. Unluckily, we were both girls with only 30 kg baggages. We rarely visited the beach, but it was okay for me. The beach was beautiful, but as we were in UAE, the beach were seperated in women and men and family. The women beach is nearly empty, but there was still a lifesaver and it was too awkward for my sister and me to be there.



As we were heading home, which was at 2AM, we were driving by some clubs. They looked so luxury and noble, but my sister was underaged so we had to pass the clubbing part. We will return for sure, but next time we have to take a trip to Dubai as well.
